SANDAKAN: A new lifestyle-oriented boutique hotel called Homestead Inn is set to
provide visitors to the city a chic yet affordable place to stay in line with the
government’s effort to develop the district into a vibrant, dynamic and hi-growth
waterfront city. A signing ceremony between the owner of the hotel, Sara-Timur Properties
Sdn Bhd, and the company that is to manage the hotel, Value Hospitality Limited
(Value Hospitality), was held on Tuesday at the Sandakan Municipal Council.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Sandakan Municipal Council president,
Yeo Boon Hai. Value Hospitality is a hotel profit improvement and management specialist,
which currently manages a stable of eight hotels under the Everly, Beverly and Prescott
brands throughout Malaysia.
“We are pleased that the owners of Homestead Inn have selected Value Hospitality
as the manager of this stylish hotel,” said Value Hospitality, Group General Manager,
“While it may be the newest hotel in our stable, our track record over 17 years
has clearly proven that we are able and capable of unlocking the full potential
of this gem of a property.”
Targeted to open in the second half of 2007, this 138-room hotel will come complete
with all the basic amenities and facilities of a modern hotel including hotel-wide
wireless Internet connections.
“With the hotel’s strategic location at the waterfront, Homestead Inn will certainly
appeal to visitors who are young and young at heart in search for accommodation
that are stylish, affordable and more importantly, comfortable,” Tan added.
