TM Inks Pact With Everly Group To Provide Hospitality Entertainment Solution

PUTRAJAYA, June 6 (Bernama) -Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) on Friday signed an agreement with Everly Group for the provision of its hospitality entertainment solution, making the group the first hotel chain to subscribe to the service.

Under the agreement, the eight hotels under Everly Group - The Everly Hotel Putrajaya; Parkcity Everly Hotel Bintulu and Parkcity Everly Hotel Miri in Sarawak; Everly Resort Hotel, Melaka; Prescott Hotel Kuala Lumpur-Medan Tuanku; Prescott Hotel Kuala Lumpur Sentral; Prescott Hotel Kajang and Prescott Hotel Klang in Selangor - would be able to enjoy in-building broadband solution (IBS), HyppTV and a call centre service.

TM Executive Vice President for SME, Azizi A. Hadi, said the agreement indicated significant change for Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in the hospitality industry.

“This comprehensive solution is specially developed to elevate the hotel guests’ experience and also to ease hoteliers technical management concerns,” he said.

Azizi said the solution was not only for the hotels, but it is also applicable for medical centres, hospitals, hostels and so on.

He said TM also offered bandwidth-on-demand, where the bandwidth could be increased to up to one gigabit per second upon request for certain days, compared to 20–50 megabits per second on normal days, so that the hotel would not have to pay for the higher bandwidth throughout the year.

“The channels also offered as a la carte, where the hotels are able to pick and choose what are the relevant premium channels to suit their guests profile.

“Another feature that will soon be introduced is Hypptv Everywhere, where the hotel guests can watch TV on their smart devices by downloading our application, everywhere in the hotel area,” he said.

Meanwhile, TM SME Sales Vice President, Khaidhir Elias, said TM has 32 customers for service up-to-date, and would continue to pursue for the opportunity in the market.

“We believe we have a good value proposition to our customers to give to their end-customers and we believe that we can actually make it competitive because we have a total solution,” he said.
